The rainy season in Jakarta is predicted to begin two months earlier compared to previous years. It is caused by La Nina phenomenon. As the result, if the rainy season starts in October, then this year is in August.

This condition is assisted by Jakarta Provincial Government river and water channel normalization program. This program is able to minimize the flood and its impact. Nowadays, flood recedes in hours, not days.
